As an expert with valuable experience, you may already belong to more than one expert network, and you have a limited number of hours to give any of them. So instead of telling you our community is large and our clients are impressive, here is what we can put numbers behind: when you get paid, how members rate the experience, and where your insights actually end up.
Most experts are paid the moment they finish
Complete a survey and your reward is issued on the spot, delivered to your email. A small number of projects take longer to process and a few can run to around two weeks, but same-session payment is the norm rather than the exception.
That is worth comparing against the rest of the category. Professionals we interviewed who work across other expert networks described waiting one to two weeks as standard practice, and at least one major network publishes 30-day payment terms on its own site.
Over 100,000 experts rated the experience 4.8 out of 5
Everyone who finishes a NewtonX project is asked to rate it. Across more than 100,000 of those ratings the average sits at 4.8, and it has held there for over a year. 96% award four or five stars.
That figure is worth reading carefully, because it is not a hand-picked set of testimonials.
You can join today rather than wait to be found
Most expert networks run in one direction. An associate finds your LinkedIn profile, messages you about a project they are staffing right now, and that outreach is your only route in. One of the largest networks states outright that it does not accept applications at all.
NewtonX registration is open to any qualified professional. Build a profile once, get verified, and you are in consideration for every project your background fits, on your own timing.
Everyone in the community is verified
Identity checks run on every signup; professionals we cannot verify do not join.
This matters more than it might sound. It is the reason clients commission NewtonX research instead of buying panel data, and it is why nobody in a project alongside you is a professional survey-taker with a fabricated résumé.

Your insights end up in research people read
NewtonX runs the research behind published work with The Wall Street Journal, TikTok, Ogilvy, Bain & Company, Bloomberg, and many more.
So when you spend fifteen minutes on a survey about AI adoption or how B2B buying groups make decisions, the findings frequently surface in a named, public report that your own industry reads.
More than one way to take part
Quantitative surveys. Online, usually 10 to 25 minutes, completed whenever suits you.
Qualitative interviews. A scheduled conversation with a researcher, typically 30 to 60 minutes.
AI-moderated interviews. A guided interview you complete on your own schedule, with follow-up questions that adapt to your answers.
Longer-term advisory work. Repeat engagements with the same client, for professionals whose expertise fits a sustained project.
AI training and evaluation. Review and rate model outputs, build post-training data, and flag the edge cases that generic annotators miss.
You are matched to projects, not added to a list
We recruit for each study specifically rather than emailing a standing panel and hoping. The practical effect is that invitations you receive are ones your background genuinely fits.
Two honest notes on that. How often you hear from us tracks demand in your industry, so some fields see more activity than others. And most projects open with a short screener, which occasionally ends in a screen-out when a client's criteria are narrow.
How your information is handled
Projects are anonymous unless stated at the outset and agreed with you. Clients see your expertise and your answers. They never see your personal information, and we do not share it.
You take part as an individual drawing on your own career, not as a representative of your employer. Material non-public information and anything covered by an existing contract stay off the table.
